Vesuvius, one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world
Vesuvius is a plinian volcano located in Italy, near the bay of Napoli.
It is one of the most dangerous of the world: it has a dangerosity of 6,3 as it can have strong and frequent eruptions (it has a VAI of 2,46, which is a lot) and it has an important population in its vincinity.
The main threat from Vesuvius are its pyrocastic flows. I estimated pyroclastic flows from for a VEI=5 eruption could threaten 356K people. Here is a mapping of the pyroclastic flow hazard I made for a VEI=5 eruption:
